Position Summary
The School of Arts and Sciences invites applications for TWO full-time Assistant Professor of Psychology positions. Though the candidate’s area of specialization is open for both positions, candidates with the ability to teach psychopathology (and other clinical themed courses), research methods, statistics, and scientific writing are desired. In addition to these core courses within the psychology major, candidates have the opportunity to teach more advanced courses within their specialty area. The position will have a start date of August 2025.

The successful candidate should have demonstrated excellence in teaching higher education. It is also expected that the successful candidate will maintain a commitment to excellence in teaching, diversity, scholarship, and service.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Teaching of courses in their assigned discipline
- Maintaining academic excellence in their classrooms
- Advising students in their assigned discipline
- Maintaining an active program of research/scholarship
- Participation in school- and university-wide committees and initiatives
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a PhD, doctorate, or terminal degree in Psychology by the start date (ABD will be considered as long as the degree is conferred by the start date).
