    Marietta College in Marietta Ohio, invites applications for a tenure-track position in developmental psychology, broadly defined. The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level and will begin in Fall 2023. Ph.D. is required at the time appointment.

    Expectations for this position include:

    • Demonstrated commitment to effective teaching at the college level in Developmental Psychology and related courses [Evidenced by a clearly stated teaching philosophy, engagement in pedagogical training and development opportunities, and strong teaching evaluations.]
    • Demonstrated commitment to mentoring first generation and underrepresented college students (e.g., involving undergraduates in faculty-directed research and/or mentoring undergraduate students on independent research). Willingness to teach and supervise graduate students in our masters program in general psychology.
    • Evidence of a program of high-quality research in the area of Developmental Psychology 
    • Experience in or demonstrated commitment to service at the department, college, and professional level
    • Demonstrated commitment to and/or experience in contributing to a collegial and collaborative work environment
    • Commitment to the mission and values of the department and college, including racial equity, diversity, and inclusion

    Requirements: The candidate (Ph.D. required at the time of appointment) will demonstrate outstanding teaching and the ability to establish a research program wherein undergraduate and graduate students will have opportunities for collaboration.
