The Division of Psychology & Communication Studies in the College of Arts & Sciences at Alfred University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology (ABD considered), open area of expertise. The successful candidate should have a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level and establish a research program involving undergraduates that can lead to publication. We are especially interested in candidates who will contribute to the collaborative and interdisciplinary community of scholars across campus with interests in the dynamic relationships among race and ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and other identities. We also particularly welcome applications from scholars who are from populations historically underrepresented in higher education, and/or who have experience working with diverse populations. Typical teaching load is 12 credits per semester (3 courses at 4 cr. each).
