DescriptionThe aim of this book is to provide tips and considerations for engaging students in ethical decision making in a wide range of contexts. Of particular importance is addressing the lack of in-class assessments and activities promoting ethical decision making beyond the (APA ethics) code. The authors provide numerous activities to advance students' understanding of ethical principles, which are applicable to multiple modes of instruction (e.g. online, in-person, and hybrid courses) and education levels (e.g. undergraduate, graduate, and high school). Broadly, the text is broken down into two parts: Part 1 emphasizes the importance of engaging students in ethical decision making in a broader context, and provides several areas of consideration where ethics play a large role beyond the standard research methodology course. Part 2 shifts focus from theory to practice and providing 17 different lesson plans with learning objective, teaching resources, and suggestions on courses where each could be implemented successfully.ISBN: 978-1-941804-80-3 Download e-book PDF (2.85 Mb) |
