    The Department of Psychology at UNC Asheville, North Carolina‚Äôs public liberal arts university, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor position in Developmental Psychology to begin in Fall 2019. An earned Ph.D. in Psychology or related field is required for a tenure-track position; however, candidates nearing completion of their doctorate (ABD) with a defense expected prior to August 2019 may be considered. Teaching duties will include courses such as Developmental Psychology, Research Methods, Introductory Psychology, and upper level courses in the candidate's area of expertise (e.g., language development). The person selected for this position will be expected to teach 12 contact hours (three courses) per semester, establish a research program that involves undergraduates, and engage in service to the institution, the community and the profession. Individuals with a passion for undergraduate teaching and interest in a career at an institution focused on the liberal arts are strongly encouraged to apply. Research or teaching expertise in diversity science will also be highly valued by the search committee.
