Assistant/Associate Professor of Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology at UW-Green Bay

    The Department of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in Psychology at either the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicants with the ability to teach multiple courses in the topic areas of Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology (at both the undergraduate and graduate level), Research Methods in Psychology, and additional undergraduate courses in the psychology program are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants who have a willingness to develop new classes, teach in person and online, and contribute to graduate teaching and/or graduate program development are also encouraged to apply.

    This position includes the following responsibilities:

    • Teach courses at the undergraduate level in Psychology and graduate level courses in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology.
    • Supervise independent studies and internships (Certified Mental Performance Consultant [CMPC] or willingness and eligibility to become certified will be required.)
    • Develop a strong research program involving collaboration with students and faculty.
    • Advise undergraduate and graduate students.
    • Perform scholarly activities consistent with rank.
    • Perform institutional and community service.
    • Contribute to the ongoing program development of the department.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Earned doctorate in Sport Psychology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or closely related field, from an accredited institution. ABD candidates will be considered; however, an earned doctorate in Sport Psychology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or closely related field, from an accredited institution is a necessary condition for contract renewal. ABD candidates will be hired into a terminal appointment at the rank of Instructor with a rate determined at the time of hire. Upon degree conferral during the terminal period, the contracted appointment with the rank of Assistant Professor will be reinstated.
