The Department of Psychology at Arizona State University (Tempe campus) invites applications for two full-time Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor positions (rank is commensurate with the applicant’s experience) with an anticipated start date of August 2025. The positions are full-time, benefits-eligible, career-track (i.e., nontenure-eligible) positions renewable on an academic year basis (August 16 to May 15) contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of resources, and the needs of the university. The successful candidates will be expected to teach four sections (likely a mix of online and in-person) per semester at the undergraduate level in support of the Neuroscience major and will participate in service to the university and profession as appropriate. Assigned courses will typically include one or more foundational courses (e.g., Introduction to Neuroscience, Research Methods in Neuroscience), along with one or more upper-division breadth courses in (e.g., Cognitive Neuroscience, Neuroscience of Learning and Motivation).

Required Qualifications: 

• Ph.D. Neuroscience, Psychology, or closely related discipline by the time of appointment. 

• Experience teaching undergraduate courses in neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, or related disciplines 
  
• Expertise in cognitive neuroscience, broadly construed 
  
• Experience with multiple teaching modalities, including online course development and teaching 
  
• Familiarity with best practices in undergraduate education 
  
• Professional engagement with students in and out of the classroom 
  
• Demonstrated commitment to working with faculty, staff, students and communities to advance the principles of the ASU Charter
