    Job Description

    The Department of Psychology at York College of Pennsylvania is very pleased to announce a full-time, non-tenure-track, instructor position (preferred start date January 2024). The Department of Psychology consists of a collaborative group of five full-time faculty who are student- and teaching-focused. This faculty member will be an integral part of instruction in our critical thinking and research sequence and will contribute to our introductory psychology and general education curriculum. They may also have the opportunity to teach courses within their area of specialization based on curricular needs. We envision that this individual will be prepared to serve as a professional advisor to new psychology majors by supporting their academic development and progress. In addition to instructional and advising duties, this faculty member will be expected to engage in service at the departmental and institutional levels. This position is on-site and instruction will take place face-to-face.

    Criteria

    • Must have an earned Master's Degree in Psychology or a related field.
    • Specialization or advanced training in research methods and/or statistics in the social sciences is preferred.
    • Experience teaching at the undergraduate level and advising/mentoring are preferred.
