    The Psychology Department at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC invites applications for a professional track assistant professorposition (Assistant Teaching Professor), to begin January 1, 2023.     We are looking for applicants who have demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence, who have developed and taught a variety of Psychology courses at the college level, and who are committed to higher education, diversity, equity, and inclusion. The teaching load is 4 classes per semester, with the option of a teaching load reduction in case of additional assignments (e.g., academic advising). Primary teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate level in the department’s Psychology BA program. Teaching needs include Introductory Psychology, Research methods, and content courses, mostly in the cognitive (bio, perception, cognition) or community-clinical (e.g., abnormal, community, social psychology) domain. Candidates should be available for in-person and online teaching.

The Department of Psychology consists of 29.5 faculty members, the staff of the advising center, the staff of the Psychoeducational Clinic, and the four members of our office staff, as well as over 950 undergraduate majors and 120 graduate students pursuing their doctoral degrees. The faculty are outstanding scholars, many of whom have won awards for teaching and research and/or are fellows in the major professional societies in Psychology.
