The Department of Psychology at Adrian College, Adrian Michigan invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor. This is a full-time, term contract faculty position beginning August 2022. The successful candidate should have demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level. Although the area of specialization is open, the department seeks a candidate who will be able to teach courses that include some of the following: General Psychology, Social Psychology, Psychology of Gender, and Research Methods for Non-Majors. The successful candidate may also be asked to teach Personality Theory and Research, Developmental Psychology, as well as supervise senior psychology students’ independent research projects. Typical teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. Applicants who are ABD will be considered, but preference will be given to those with an earned doctorate at time of appointment. It is also expected that the successful candidate will maintain a commitment to excellence in teaching, diversity, scholarship, and service as defined by Adrian College.
