    Position Announcement
    The Department of Behavioral Science at Utah Valley University invites applications for five positions at the Assistant Professor level (tenure-track). The successful candidate will be able to teach at least one of the following courses (human sexuality, gender, research methods, statistics) or to develop courses related to human factors, quantitative psychology, or applied psychology in multiple modalities (face-to-face, online, or live stream). Candidates should have a thoughtful teaching philosophy incorporating engaged learning methods and be willing to refine their teaching based on feedback, training, or scholarship. In addition, candidates must be capable of mentoring students from first-generation, economically diverse, and diverse educational backgrounds.

    Candidates should demonstrate a capacity to do research (as evidenced by publications) and continue research at UVU in ways that include undergraduates and a professional commitment to a specific subfield and staying current in scholarship and teaching as evidenced by recent scholarship, degree, or other training in relevant areas. Given recent department and university initiatives, we are especially interested in candidates who can offer our students greater diversity in training, successfully integrate DEI content and methods in their teaching, and whose scholarship contributes to our department's DEI efforts.
