    About UC Clermont

    UC Clermont College is a two-year open access admissions branch campus of the University of Cincinnati located near the Cincinnati metropolitan area, with an enrollment of approximately 2,300 students.  UC Clermont, situated in a beautiful, wooded area, is the newer of two University branch campuses in and around the University’s uptown campus.  The college offers a variety of transfer programs, certificates, associate degrees, and a baccalaureate degree.

    Job Overview

    The University of Cincinnati (UC) Clermont College’s Social Sciences Department invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology position to begin January 1, 2023. The Clermont Psychology program offers a range of courses for majors and non-majors and a two-year Associates degree in Psychology with the ability to transfer to a four-year Psychology program on UC’s uptown campus.

    Essential Functions

    Visiting faculty responsibilities include teaching 12 credit hours per semester, excluding summers, unless otherwise indicated. The position spans from January 1, 2023 to August 14, 2024. Our department strongly values diversity, equity, and inclusivity, and is committed to diversifying the representation of its faculty.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Candidates should have a doctoral degree in Psychology from an APA accredited program prior to employment.
    • In addition, candidates should possess college teaching experience and demonstrate effectiveness in teaching.
    • Candidates should be able to teach courses in Introductory Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and other Psychology courses.
    • The candidate should be able to teach online or in-person, with an emphasis on classroom teaching.
    • Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to inclusive teaching in a student-centered, open-access environment.

     

    Additional Qualifications Considered

    • Preference will be given to candidates with 2 or more years of college teaching experience, some research experience, clinical experience, and the ability to teach the courses listed above as well as Research Methods and Statistics and other clinical-related courses.
    • Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate skill and commitment to high quality college instruction.
