The Department of Psychology at the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH FLORIDA invites applications for one twelve-month, renewable, non-tenure track INSTRUCTOR to begin on August 7, 2019. Salary is negotiable. This position serves as Director of Introductory Psychology and Coordinator of Undergraduate Affairs for the Psychology Department. Applicants must have a doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Psychology or a related discipline and be qualified to perform assigned duties by the time of the appointment. The goal of this position is to increase student success among our undergraduate psychology majors (about 1,800 students) and to facilitate the teaching experience of psychology graduate students. Applicants must be able to teach a variety of undergraduate courses, and will be expected to serve as the Coordinator of Undergraduate Affairs and Curriculum, which entails overseeing the undergraduate course offerings, coordinating internship opportunities, serving as liaison with the University and other departments, and/or serving on committees having to do with the undergraduate curriculum. Preference will be given to applicants with experience teaching Introduction to Psychological Science, Careers in Psychology, and/or Graduate Instructional Methods.
