  • The STP/Division2 Elections and Appointments Committee seeks nominations for several key leadership positions: President-Elect, Vice President for Resources, Vice President for Programming, Secretary, and two (pending outcome of 2013 apportionment ballots) Representatives to APA Council. All terms except President-Elect are 3-year terms beginning on January 1, 2015. The President-Elect serves a 1-year term followed by a 1-year presidential term and a 1-year term as Past President. Descriptions of the responsibilities for each position can be found on the STP/Division2 website (http://www.teachpsych.org) in the Policy and Procedures Manual (located in the Members Only section under Publications) beginning on page 25. Please nominate colleagues whom you believe have the experience, commitment and motivation to contribute to the success of our Society. Self-nominations are also encouraged. All nominees must be Fellows or Members of the Society, and nominees for APA Council of Representatives must, additionally, be members of APA. Send all nominations to Norine Jalbert, Chair of Elections and Appointments, at jalbertn@wcsu.edu. The deadline for nominations is January 6, 2014.
  • The STP SoTL Workshop Committee is looking for one SoTL Workshop Mentor to serve a three-year term. Nominations and self nominations are welcome. We invite applications from faculty who have significant experience in conducting and publishing SoTL who would be willing to mentor those starting to do SoTL work.  Mentors will work with 3-4 faculty members a year and provide guidance on SoTL as well as support participants through the research process (which may include discussing ideas or analyzing, outlining, and writing a final product). STP will cover all mentors’ expenses to attend the annual SoTL workshop. If interested, or if you have questions, contact Regan A. R. Gurung (gurungr@uwgb.edu). The application deadline is January 30th, 2014.
