Social & Behavioral Sciences: Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor in Psychological Science with a focus on Clinical Psychology to begin in August of 2019 to teach undergraduate courses in psychology; advise students.
Required: Ph.D. (for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor) or ABD (for appointment as Instructor) in clinical psychology or closely related field by time of appointment. Position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
Consideration may be given to candidates that have demonstrated experience and excellence in college teaching, especially in introductory and clinical psychology; experience with online learning and strong skills in interacting and collaborating with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. The campus is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the Miami community.
Faculty in the department teach courses such as introductory psychology, cognitive psychology, clinical psychology, personality psychology, and research methods and statistics, with opportunities to teach other courses in area of specialization. Miami University Regionals are open admissions campuses with a liberal arts curriculum. We offer associate and bachelor’s degrees, in the College of Liberal Arts and Applied Science as well as beginning coursework for most four-year degrees at Miami’s Oxford campus.
