The Psychology Department at Shenandoah University welcomes applicants for a one-year Visiting Professor position (open rank, with possible renewal after one year) with expertise in cognitive psychology and/or neuroscience, with service to begin August 15, 2019. Candidates will be expected to teach courses in General Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Sensation and Perception, and Research Methods, with preference given to candidates also able to teach new or additional existing courses in Psychology curriculum. The expected teaching load is typically 4 courses per semester. Course sizes range from 15 to 25 students. This is primarily a teaching position. A research program is not required, but opportunities exist for university research support.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Cognitive Psychology or Related Field is required; a Ph.D. is preferred. Experience teaching undergraduate psychology is required.
