    Columbia College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Psychology beginning August 2019. Applicants who will enrich the diversity of the campus community are strongly encouraged to apply.

    Qualifications: Applicants must have earned a doctorate by time of appointment.  We seek applicants committed to innovation and excellence in undergraduate education within a small liberal arts context.

    The successful candidate will be able to develop and teach four courses per semester, among which are: introduction to clinical and counseling psychology, abnormal psychology, neuroscience, sensation and perception, as well as introductory psychology courses for majors and non-majors. The successful candidate will also demonstrate interest in mentoring undergraduate student internships and facilitating student/faculty research. The primary responsibility is teaching and mentoring in the traditional campus. The College, having a traditional, nationwide, and a strong online program in Psychology, requires the successful candidate to be able to assist the department with curricular needs, development, and oversight in all venues.
